It was the twenty-second year, Biao Qiang served as a warrior for his ruler. The Han lineage was the supreme leader in the campaign against Qin and attacked Qi, entering into the Great Wall. We first met up at Pingyin. Bringing to bear all of the force of the troops, I took Chujing, and was rewarded by the Han lineage, and commanded by the Duke of Jin, having audience with the Son of Heaven. I herewith brightly record it in the inscription. Having been valiant in both martial and civil affairs, may eternal generations never forget Biao’s bells.18
